I led the redesign of a building-data platform
Datakwip needed a building-data platform that worked for one complex facility or many properties. I led the product design and helped the client team turn it into working software.

At a glance
I shifted the focus to customer workflows.
The existing platform reflected its technical structure. I worked with Datakwip's lead developer to rethink what customers needed to see first and where they would go next.
01 · Product structure
I designed for one facility or many properties.
I used persona walkthroughs to shape navigation and layout, then designed a modular dashboard standard for single-facility and portfolio customers.
One complex facility
Many connected systems
A property portfolio
Many buildings to monitor
Adaptable dashboards.
02 · Team guidance
I gave developers the detail they needed to build.
I set the order, fidelity, and review points for design alongside the team's Agile development. Handoff could start from an annotated wireframe when that was enough to build.
My design specifications. Datakwip's developers owned implementation.
03 · Outcome
Datakwip's team implemented the accepted designs.
I saw the final designs working in Datakwip's internal platform. The client described a smoother workflow, and its referrals led to smaller engagements for Magic Button Labs.
